Cosey Becomes a Champion
Cosey was owned by Mrs. Fred Brown and entered the 1895 show at Madison Square Garden. She impressed the judges and was awarded the top honor at the show.
Her prize included a beautiful silver collar and medal.
More than a century later, Cosey has not been forgotten. Her historic silver collar and medal have been preserved by the CFA Foundation, connecting today’s cat lovers with an important moment in the early history of cat shows in America.
Maine Coons Were Already American Favorites
